  4. Number of Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts to apply for NEET.

  5. Qualification: Candidates should have passed/appeared in the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, or any other elective subject with English.

  6. Mandatory Subjects: In their 12th grade, students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology with English as a mandatory subject.

  7. Percentage: Candidates in the 12th grade must have secured a minimum of 50% marks for General category, 45% marks for PH, and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates in the PCB group.

Number of Seats:

The availability of seats in various medical and dental colleges is a crucial factor for NEET aspirants. According to the latest data from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI), the number of seats for NEET UG 2024 is as follows:

MBBS Seats: There are a total of 99,763 seats available for MBBS courses across different medical colleges.

BDS Seats: For dental courses, there are 26,949 seats available for BDS programs.

AYUSH Seats: AYUSH courses, which include Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy, have 52,720 seats.

BVSc & AH Seats: The Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) program offers 603 seats.

In addition to these, there are 1,899 seats in AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and 249 seats in JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) across 612 medical and 315 dental colleges.
